Empire Kindergarten Activities
Thanksgiving Feast
Everyone enjoyed a traditional Thanksgiving in cafeteria. Parents and Grandparents were invited, and we had many guest. Later in day Mrs. Jenkins 6th graders joined the Kindergartens for a special feast. Everyone came dresses as Pilgrims or Indians. We shared snacks and showed thanks for friend that help each other. A good time was had by all.
Career Skits
Mrs. Jenkins 6th grade class has been writing skit over various careers and performing them to help us learn about jobs people do. During N week they did skits on nurse, navigator, narrator, and newscasters. During I week they did inventor. During M week they did skits on mechanics, makeup artist, and model. We want to thank them for skits and gifts they gave during skits. Good job!!


Also some of Mrs. Read's students have been giving reports on different careers. Thanks Kelsey and Caleb. We learned a lot. Good Job!
Fire Prevention
During Fire Prevention Week the Empire Fire Department help the Empire students learn about fire safety. Students watched videos and were visited by Sparky the Fire Dog. Jeremy was especially proud of his dad who is a volunteer firefighter. Thank you to all the volunteers who helped.

Newspapers in Education
We are learning about newspapers. We are participating in a project with the Duncan Banner and sponsored by Halliburton Employees Federal Credit Union. Not only are they sponsoring our class with the newspapers, but they have invited our class to a Halloween Party. We want to say a special thank you to them for all their help.
Hospital Field Trip
We recently visited the Duncan Regional Hospital and learned a lot about hospitals. Thank you to everyone who helped. We had lots of fun and learn a lot of things. Some of think we would like to be a nurse or doctor when we grow up.

Kindergarten Program
Our end of the year program was lots of fun. It was When I Grow Up.....
Everyone said their name and told what they wanted to be when they grew up.
We also signed the pledge to the flag, alphabet, colors and numbers to 20
We said colors and numbers to 20 in Spanish.
Our songs included some about money, months, days of week, weather and careers.
